The La Quinta Chamber of Commerce publishes a tourism magazine called, oddly enough, “La Quinta”, which has an article that outlines the city’s demographics. The numbers are interesting, because the median age is younger than I originally thought it might be. Here are the details:
- Within a 5 mile ring of La Quinta, there are 50,000 households and 150,000 people. (There are roughly 300,000 permanent full time residents in the desert, and the number doubles in the season.)
- Within a 5 mile ring of La Quinta, the median age is 35.
- Within a 5 mile ring of La Quinta, the median household income is just over $70,000.
